2013/10/21

The promising Glasgow rockers “The Velveteen Saints” will be the warm up act for the “The View” on November 2nd at the “Palladium” concert hall. Tickets are available at www.palladium.lv and all “Biļešu Serviss” box offices.

Armed with their obvious talent and ear for catchy pop sensibilities, the rising troupe have garnered a serious reputation for powerful performances at sell-out DIY shows, Isle of Wight Festival, Kendal Calling, and T In The Park, not to mention support slots for Peace, The View, Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) and Peter Hook. The Velveteen Saints are Shaun Hughes (guitar and vocals), Martin Macdonald (guitar and vocals), Mark Thomson (bass and vocals), and Michael Gahagan (drums).

As previously announced, on November 2nd the Palladium concert hall will host the first Baltic performance of the UK’s indie rock heroes The View. Having just embarked on their ‘Seven Year Setlist’ tour, the band swiftly juggle elements of punk, rock, alternative, Celtic pop and folk, representing the best of UK’s indie scene. The View exist for the thrill of living life to its fullest and operate entirely on instinct, making music fired by passion, soul and joy. Lead vocalist Kyle Falconer has already performed in Latvia, firing up the crowds at the 2011 Positivus festival main stage with Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.

They have worked with producers of The Verve and Oasis, opened for The Stone Roses and played with Mando Diao, as well as performed at some of UK’s biggest music festivals, including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds Festival and many more. The View are Kyle Falconer (guitar and vocals), Kieren Webster (bass guitar), Pete Reilly (guitar) and Steven Morrison (drums).

Tickets are available starting from LVL 11 at www.palladium.lv and all “Biļešu Serviss” box offices.
