ONLY SON TO BE THE SPECIAL REGINA SPEKTOR CONCERT GUESTS AT PALLADIUM RIGA
2013/08/01

Regina Spektor’s special guests at the Palladium Riga concert hall on August 5th will be her husband’s Jack Dishel’s band Only Son. Tickets are available starting from LVL 24 at www.palladium.lv as well as Biļešu Serviss box offices. Table seats – LVL 50.

Only Son is the band name of New York City based singer-songwriter Jack Dishel, who, just like Spektor, was born in Moscow and raised in New York. Releasing records and playing in various bands since the late 1990s, Dishel’s music has been described as having “one foot in the arrangements and melodies of late-Beatles McCartney, the other in the ambitious scope of late-90s Radiohead, and a third leg in David Bowie’s stardust.”

Currently touring the world and opening for Regina Spektor in support of his second album “Searchlight” (2011), Dishel will also be performing beloved tracks from his 2006 debut album "The Drop to the Top". When playing as a full band, Only Son includes Rick Snell on guitar, Mike Chiavaro on bass, Paul Amorese on drums, Dave Sherman on keyboards and Brent Cole on tambourine.

As previously announced, on August 5th the Palladium concert hall will host the world famous U.S. American singer-songwriter and pianist Regina Spektor. The talented musician (born Regina Ilyinichna Spektor) is considered to be one of the most prominent performers of the alternative and anti-folk genre. Often described as the musical heiress of Tory Amos and Kate Bush, Spektor creates her emotionally enticing and captivating ballads by combining the elements of pop, jazz, punk, classical music, hip hop as well as Russian an American folk music.
