




MOMEND TO OPEN FOR EWERT AND THE TWO DRAGONS

Latvian indie-rockers Momend are set to open for the Estonian heavyweights Ewert And The Two Dragons on March 21st at the Palladium Riga concert hall. Tickets are available at www.palladium.lv and all Biļešu Serviss box offices for the price of EUR 20.
The indie/alternative rock band Momend first formed in 2009 and after winning several young talent contests, released their debut album Episodes of Trust in 2012. Since then the band has toured extensively, playing all the biggest festivals in the Baltic’s and embarking on a Swedish tour as an opening act for the well-known Swedish artist Jens Lekman. Having previously performed at various international music conferences, Momend are also set to perform at this year’s Tallinn Music Week. Their second studio album Spirals (2014) received a Latvian Music Awards nomination for best indie record.
In turn, the three-time Positivus Festival alumni Ewert And The Two Dragons are one of the most successful Estonian acts of recent years, with substantial and increasing following abroad. Hard work and countless performances in Estonia and overseas from 2011 to 2014 have paid off generously; Their sophomore album Good Man Down (2011), released by I Love You Records, became one of the best-selling albums in Estonia, with awards such as the Tallinn Music Week Skype (Go Change The World) award in 2011, the Estonian Radio 2 award for Good Man Down (2011) as the best hit single, as well as five Estonian Music Awards in 2012 and the prestigious international Eurosonic European Border Breakers Award in 2013.
At the upcoming show, Ewert and The Two Dragons are set to present their highly anticipated third studio album Circles, due to be released on February 24th.
