ILY SESSIONS PRESENT – SONS OF NOEL AND ADRIAN
2013/09/25
This autumn Latvian brand I Love You celebrates 10th anniversary and the famous ILY Sessions will be presented all over the Baltics with British band Sons of Noel and Adrian headlining.
ILY Baltic Sessions will take place on 28th of October in Vilnius, Loftas, where Sons of Noel and Adrian will be joined by Garbanotas Bosistas (LT) and Momend (LV). The tour will continue on 29th of October in Tallinn, Von Krahl, with Momend as an opening act. On 30th of October Sons of Noel and Adrian will perform at Palladium Riga venue where well known local artists Goran Gora and Laika Suns will join them on stage.
Bar I Love You in Old Town Riga opened its doors a decade ago and soon became a meeting place of the young and creative crowd where the best local DJ’s were spinning their favourite records and up-and-coming bands held their first gigs.
Over the years Bar I Love You was joined by ILY Stage at Positivus, the biggest summer festival in The Baltics, and ILY Records, an independent record label, a home of the most sucessful band coming out of Estonia – Ewert and The Two Dragons. ILY Records catalogue also includes Alise Joste (LV), Sibyl Vane (EE), Zebra Island (EE), The Sound Poets (LV).
In 2013 ILY Records became the official representative of British band Sons Of Noel and Adrian in the Baltic states.
Sons of Noel and Adrian is an experimental band based in Brighton, England. They are known for their live performances with up to thirteen musicians on stage, all of whom play with many other bands.
The band members are noted for being extremely collaborative. As well as almost every member of the band having a solo project, and all of them collaborating with other musicians from within the Willkommen Collective.
When the situation arises SONAA are the critics’ choice band to quote, lust after and claim they’ve always loved. That’s usually when referencing the Brighton music scene, their label Willkommen or Laura Marling, with whom the band have toured extensively since they formed in 2008.
In view of the bands achievements so far and the potential future scene, it is definately no wonder that the Sons of Noel and Adrian are in the same bag along with the most rising folk stars of the last decade.
