In January the only Three Days Grace concert in the Baltics – in Riga

January 26th the Palladium venue will host a concert of one of the most well known North American alternative rock and post-grunge bands – Canadians Three Days Grace! This will be their only concert in the Baltic States and is held to support their most recent album Human.

Of course, it is more than guaranteed that they will perform not only new pieces, but also the songs from their previous four albums, such hits as I Hate Everything About You, Never Too Late, Animal I Have Become, Pain, Chalk Outline, The High Road, Just Like You, Home etc.

Three Days Grace was formed in 1997, in tiny town Norwood, in Ontario province. The band's line-up consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson and bass guitarist Brad Walts. In 2003 the band was joined by Barry Stock, who then became the lead guitarist.

Since Three Days Grace style varies from album to album, music critics cannot associate them with only one music genre, therefore they are described as alternative hard rock, post-grunge and even new metal band.

So far they have released 5 studio albums, each with three year interval. The first three have received platinum and gold status in the USA and Canada. And the band also has a list of numerous songs in Billboard Alternative top.

In 2007 Three Grace Days was ranked as the top rock music artist; moreover, the band has been nominated for four Juno Awards which is Canada’s main music award.

The first recognition they have achieved upon a release of 2003 of their self-titled album. Its most popular hit-song I Hate Everything About You was written a long time before, but at the same time was the main key to the record deal.

Work on their second studio album One-X is reflection of Adam Gontier’s battle with his addiction to drugs, and while staying in rehabilitation center he wrote lyrics of their signature songs - Animal I Have Become, Pain and Never Too Late. As a result this album, so far, has got the best feedback from music critics and the band’s fans.

In 2009 they released their third studio album Life Starts Now which contains more optimistic lyrics and has a less aggressive music style.

Further style transitions occur also on their next album Transit of Venus where the band added a few electronic influences.

In the beginning of 2013, due to his health issues, Adam Gontier left the band. To replace him, Brad (bass guitarist) offered the position to his own brother Matt Walst. Who surprisingly quickly fit right in the band. All together they created their newest album Human (2015) with the songs I Am Machine, Painkiller and Human Race that stress the current mood of musicians and demonstrate their standpoint of what is happening around them.

Band members describe it as follows:

"These songs describe what we're about right now. There's a lot of inner struggle and loss on those record. Our goal was to be a little heavier and darker and reflect what we've gone through. There’s the beauty, the rage, the numbness, and the escape."
