The festivals sensation - DAGAMBA group - is announcing its
far-reaching concert tour "Bach goes to Iran". Already this autumn
the group will give concerts at the best Latvian concert halls,
featuring a new album "Recycled".
"Having given seven breathtaking concerts at the worldwide known
"Glastonbury" music festival, still we need to admit that home is
home though it be never so homely. Upon arrival to Latvia we gave a
memorable concert at the festival "Positivus" meeting the audience
of 15 000 people and we would like to extend this unique synergy
that appears only with home audience, by featuring the concert
program as in Riga, as in regional concert halls", - comments the
group leader Valters Puce.
Already on 13 September Dagamba will perform at the Vidzeme concert
hall in Cesis, on 4 October - at the Centre of Culture in Yelgava,
on 10 October - at LOC Hall of Roses in Liepaya, on 17 October - at
Gors Concert hall in Rezekne, on 23 October - at the concert hall
Preludija in Aluksne, on 24 October - at the concert hall of Saldus
Music and Art school and on 30 October in Riga, at the concert hall
Palladium, honoring participation of a range of guests, whose names
are kept in secret for the moment. Tickets are available online on
http://www.bilesuparadize.lv
and in "Biļešu paradīzes" cash-desks around Latvia.
In the emerging album "Recycled" DAGAMBA musicians promise to
change drastically the audience concept of classical music. The
original music pieces inspired to the musicians by grand masters of
classical music are exciting and daring, merging musical elements
of different times and styles. The audience will recognize both
Solveig's song motives by Grig, and Led Zeppelin "Immigrant Song",
with help of the musicians Bach will go to Iran, Prokofyev will
meet the wandering knight from the motion picture "Knight Rider",
Mozart will share experience with "Radiohead", and so on and so
after.
The group DAGAMBA, joins Oriental and Western music traditions and
originates the completely new, extraordinarily exciting and
powerful sound. The musicians boldly start to explore yet unknown
musical worlds, which adds unique dynamics and vitality to their
performance.
