Riga will celebrate 60 years of Eurovision!

With Eurovision Song Contest participants and winners coming to party!

Eurovision club OGAE Latvia is inviting all Eurovision Song Contest fans to Riga, to celebrate together 60 years of Eurovision! Second edition of „Eurovision PreParty Riga” will be held on April 10 at „Palladium” concert Hall in Riga. Participants from Latvia, Switzerland, Georgia and other countries will take part in this concert and will promote their Eurovision entries – songs, that will be performed in May at Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.

This year’s Eurovision preparty in Riga will be special, because the world’s biggest music contest is celebrating 60th birthday! And we, in Latvia, will celebrate this jubilee as well! Special guests will attend „Eurovision PreParty Riga 2015” – winner of ESC 2009 Alexander Rybak, winner of ESC 2002 Marie N, winner of ESC 2011 Eldar Gasimov, and 3rd place holder on ESC 2013 Zlata Ognevich!

About „Eurovision PreParty Riga 2015” special guests

One of the popular winners of the Eurovision – Alexander Rybak – will perform his smash hit „Fairytale”. We all remember this shy boy from Norway, who won the contest in 2009.

Eurovision winner of 2011 Eldar Gasimov will perform in Riga his song „Running scared”. This song at Eurovision Song Contest Eldar was performing together with Nigar Jamal. Ell and Niki brought to their home country – Azerbaijan – first and by now the only victory on Eurovision.

First and by now the only victory on Eurovision for our country, Latvia, back in 2002 brought Marija Naumova. Marija will celebrate Eurovision’s jubilee with us in Riga. She will perform her winning song „I wanna”.

Ukraine is not participating in this years Eurovision. However, during the past years Ukranians entries was almost always in TOP 10. In 2013 third place on Eurovision got Zlata Ognevich with her song „Gravity”. Eurovision fans loved that song, so Zlata will perform „Gravity” on „Eurovision PreParty Riga 2015”.
